Job Description:
1. Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Researcher to develop and optimize RF technologies for advanced communication systems. This role involves researching RF circuits, antenna design, spectrum analysis, and signal propagation for wireless, satellite, and radar applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF engineering, electromagnetic theory, and wireless communication systems.
2. Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop RF systems and circuits for communication and sensing applications.
- Design and optimize antennas, filters, and RF front-end components for high-frequency operation.
- Perform RF spectrum analysis, signal propagation modeling, and interference mitigation techniques.
- Work with software-defined radios (SDR), microwave, and millimeter-wave technologies.
- Develop and test RF hardware prototypes for communication and radar systems.
- Optimize RF power efficiency, noise reduction, and signal integrity in real-world environments.
- Collaborate with electromagnetics, DSP, and wireless communication teams for system integration.
- Stay updated with advancements in 5G, 6G, IoT, satellite communications, and RF sensors.
- Ensure compliance with RF safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and FCC/ITU standards.
- Document research findings, system designs, and experimental results.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of RF circuit design, microwave engineering, and electromagnetic theory.
- Experience in antenna design, RF filters, impedance matching, and transmission lines.
- Proficiency in RF simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS, MATLAB, or COMSOL).
- Hands-on experience with vector network analyzers (VNA), spectrum analyzers, and RF test equipment.
- Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G, Bluetooth, LoRa, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot RF hardware issues and optimize signal performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Work Environment
- Research labs and RF testing environments.
- Collaboration with wireless communication, DSP, and embedded systems teams.
- Hands-on work with RF circuits, antennas, and signal processing platforms.
- Compliance with RF exposure, safety, and industry standards.
