Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Social Media Content Researcher will be responsible for identifying, curating, and developing high-quality research-based content for Qamar Foundation’s social media platforms.
This content should reflect our values and support our strategic communications goals, especially in areas of Islamic economic principles, social justice, and entrepreneurial development.
Reports to: Media Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on a wide range of topics including social affairs, Islamic economics, entrepreneurship, and other relevant areas.
- Identify trending and impactful themes suitable for Qamar Foundation’s social media content.
- Develop well-researched, engaging, and culturally sensitive content summaries, posts, and captions.
- Support the creation of scripts and content outlines for visual and multimedia storytelling.
- Ensure accuracy and credibility of all information and sources used in content.
- Work closely with the communications team to align content with campaigns and organizational messaging.
- Monitor social media trends and suggest timely content ideas to enhance engagement.
- Assist in content planning and editorial calendar development.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Islamic Studies, Social Sciences, Media & Communications, Economics, or related field.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Islamic economics and social affairs.
- Proven 1 year experience in content writing or research for media or nonprofit organizations.
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in Dari and/or Pashto is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise, and engaging content.
