Job Description:
Key Accountabilities
Technical Operations & Maintenance
- Install and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, cabling, NVR/DVR units, and networking hardware.
- Conduct routine inspections and cleaning of cameras, lenses, and enclosures to ensure clear visibility and image quality.
- Perform diagnostics, fault identification, and timely repairs to minimize surveillance downtime.
- Any other IT duties assigned by line manager.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure all surveillance systems comply with civil aviation regulations, ICAO standards, and airport authority protocols.
- Support security audits and inspections by providing access to footage, system health reports, and maintenance logs.
Incident Support
- Assist security and law enforcement personnel with video footage retrieval and playback for investigations.
- Maintain chain-of-custody protocols for all exported footage to ensure integrity in legal or regulatory processes.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, faults, repairs, and component replacements.
- Report critical failures or security vulnerabilities to the Airport Operation Manager and Project Manager.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend system upgrades, modernizations, or optimizations to improve surveillance coverage and reliability.
- Keep up to date with emerging CCTV technologies relevant to airport security environments.
Key Performance Indicators
- The CCTV system must maintain 99% operational readiness at all times.
- All preventive maintenance tasks must be completed with 100% adherence to the approved schedule.
- All faults must be responded to within 2 hours of receiving an alert.
- 95% of reported issues must be resolved within 24 hours.
- The system should be fully compliant and audit-ready, with zero non-compliance incidents during audits.

- Perform any additional tasks that may arise from time to time to meet operational and organizational requirements.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field (mandatory).
Professional Certifications:
- Certified CCTV Installer or equivalent
- Knowledge of ICAO Annex 17, or local aviation security protocols
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CCTV installation, maintenance, and repair (airport/aviation environment preferred).
- Strong understanding of IP-based surveillance systems, fiber optics, and video management software (VMS).
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with network configurations and basic IT troubleshooting.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass security clearance and background checks as per aviation authority requirements
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physically fit for working at heights, confined areas, and across large terminals
Language skills: Fluent in English, Dari/Pashto – written and spoken
