AWEC has successfully implemented projects in Logar, Faryab, Kapisa, Khost, Panjshir, Wardak, Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Badakhshan, Parwan, Paktia, Paktika, Laghman, Nuristan, and Bamyan provinces, maintaining an active presence in Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Badakhshan, Parwan, Paktia, Paktika, Laghman, Nuristan, and Bamyan.

Job Description:
The Community Mobilizer Couples will support the implementation of project activities at the community level by engaging with community members, mobilizing target beneficiaries, conducting awareness sessions, and facilitating smooth coordination between the project team and local stakeholders. The mobilizer plays a key role in promoting inclusion, building trust, and ensuring community participation throughout the project cycle.
Responsibilities:
Support the identification and registration of project beneficiaries in coordination with community elders and local structures.
Raise awareness in the community on project objectives, selection criteria, entitlements, and key messages using culturally sensitive methods.
Assist in the formation and facilitation of community-based committees or feedback groups.
Support the distribution team during cash, kits, or other assistance deliveries by organizing participants and ensuring safe and dignified access.
Report protection concerns, complaints, and community feedback to the relevant project focal point.
Facilitate community consultations, focus group discussions, and pre/post-distribution monitoring (PDM) in coordination with MEAL teams.
Promote the inclusion of women, people with disabilities, returnees, and marginalized groups in all project activities.
Ensure that accountability mechanisms (e.g., complaint boxes, help desks) are functioning during field activities.
Build strong relationships with local leaders, community influencers, and beneficiaries to ensure cooperation and community ownership.
Provide regular reports and updates on field activities, challenges, and needs to the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
A Minimum of Diploma (14th Degree) in Social Science, Statistics, Education, community development, Business Administration, Economics, law and political science and/ or a related field.
A Minimum of 4 years of experience in community mobilization or field work with I/NGOs or community-based organizations prefferably in cash distribution, protection, WASH, or health projects.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with vulnerable populations.
Good understanding of the local context and community dynamics.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic reporting and record-keeping skills.
Familiarity with local languages and dialects.
Commitment to humanitarian principles, safeguarding, and gender sensitivity.
