Job Description:
Job Summary
The trainer will provide practical technical training to project participants on the repair and maintenance of motorcycles and small generators. As part of a humanitarian livelihoods project, the role aims to build vocational skills for income generation among vulnerable individuals.
Key responsibilities include developing training materials, delivering hands-on sessions, ensuring practical exposure to local market workshops, and ensuring trainees acquire job-ready skills.
The duties and responsibilities of a Motorcycle/Generator Repairing trainer
- Design and implement a structured training curriculum on motorcycle and generator repair.
- Deliver both theoretical and practical training sessions.
- Utilize or provide access to a functional workshop within the local market.
- Maintain training tools and equipment in proper working condition.
- Ensure efficient use of spare parts.
- Promote life skills, work ethics, and safety measures during training.
- Document training activities with photographs and video clips as proof of delivery.
- Support trainees in preparing for internships or market integration.
- Perform any additional duties related to motorbike/generator repair as assigned by the project manager.
Job Requirements:
Certifications / Education required
- Graduation from 12th Class or Vocational Training institute or a related field.
Professional Experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in vocational training or a related technical field.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant professional certification in motorcycle or generator repair.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and training design.
- Prior experience delivering vocational training or teaching in similar projects.
- Must have access to or own a workshop in the local market.
- Have experience and knowledge in repairing submersible pumps.
- Strong understanding of current market trends, tools, and repair practices.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Skilled in evaluating trainee performance and providing constructive feedback.
