Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Scope ICT Officer is responsible for providing technical support for all SCOPE registration-related activities, including the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ICT equipment and software. This role ensures smooth, accurate, and secure beneficiary registration by supporting field teams with operational and IT-related needs. The Scope ICT Officer plays a key role in maintaining data integrity and supporting efficient project implementation through ICT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

ICT Support & Maintenance
• Maintain and troubleshoot SCOPE registration computers, tablets, biometric devices, and related equipment.
• Ensure all SCOPE devices are properly configured, updated, and secured for field operations.
• Provide on-site and remote ICT support to registration teams during data collection and distribution activities.
• Report hardware/software issues to central ICT support and follow up on repairs or replacements.

SCOPE Registration Support
• Assist with the setup and functioning of the SCOPE system in registration and distribution sites.
• Support the collection of beneficiary data, including biometric and demographic details, using SCOPE tools.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely upload/syncing of collected data.
• Issue tokens or coupons to verified beneficiaries for assistance tracking and access.

Data Quality & Protection
• Support staff in maintaining high standards of data accuracy and completeness.
• Implement and promote data protection practices in accordance with organizational policies.
• Ensure proper backup and recovery processes are in place for registration data.

Team Collaboration & Field Coordination
• Cooperate with registration teams, field monitors, and project managers to resolve operational issues.
• Train or guide field staff on the proper use of SCOPE ICT systems and tools.
• Participate in briefings and planning for field registration or distribution activities.

Other Duties
• Maintain inventory of ICT assets used in field operations.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Competencies:

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in ICT support, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Prior experience supporting WFP SCOPE systems is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting, particularly with biometric devices, tablets, and registration software.
• Familiarity with data collection platforms and digital registration tools (e.g., SCOPE, Kobo, ODK).
• Understanding of IT security, data protection, and system maintenance.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
• Ability to train and support non-technical staff in the use of digital tools.
• Good communication skills and team collaboration mindset.
• Fluency in local languages required; basic proficiency in English preferred.

Other Requirements:
• Willingness to travel regularly to remote field locations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and reliability under pressure.
