Job Description:
The incumbent shall perform under the direct supervision of Program Manager and work in close collaboration with GAALO Program Manager.
The Project manager will be involved in preparing the project planning, developing monthly, quarterly reports, ensuring noticeable relationship with donor program team, controlling the project staff, documenting of the project activities, keeping effective relationship with project stakeholders including department of economy, clusters and local government.
His/her specific responsibilities are as below:
- The project manager is responsible for the overall project activities (Coordination with stakeholders, reporting, monitoring and supervision.
- Lead and supervise all administrative, technical, and operational activities of a fully functioning project
- Participate in project meetings/conferences on behalf of GAALO.
- Monitor project expenditures to ensure activities are in line with approved project budgets.
- Closely monitor project activities and report any discrepancies to the line manager
- Ensure that all project interventions are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Design and deliver an orientation workshop to project team on:
- The nature and modality of the program
- CHS
- CRM
- Code of Conduct
- Safeguarding, Child Protection issues
- Importance of informed consent & data protection
- Ensuring GAALO’s zero-tolerance towards PSEA & any form of unethical behaviour.
- Covid-19 measures
- Protection and gender mainstreaming
- Community sensitization
- Putting in place proper ad-hoc and coordination mechanics at community level
- Beneficiary identification, selection and verification
- Monitoring and evaluation.
- Reporting
- The PM will help the team in community mobilization/sensitization and formation of beneficiary selection committees at community level.
- The PM will help the team in identification, selection and verification of Beneficiaries
- The PM will regularly support the team during the food distribution to verified HHs.
- The PM will design and conduct a Post Distribution Monitoring and Assessment with the help of the team to assess the effectiveness of the response and its impact on beneficiary household food security.
- The PM with the help of the team will conduct monthly Market Monitoring to understand that Food remains the most viable response modality of assistance and to check the price stability, market functionality, food commodities supply chain and access to market for different vulnerable groups.
- The PM will provide monthly achievement report to FSAC by uploading the data on Report hub.
- Manage the relationship with the donor and all stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Delegate project tasks based on staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- The Project Manager Duty station will be in Samangan and will follow the activities in the field.
- Perform any other duties delegated by the supervisor/senior staff.
