• Lead and manage the GL team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local telecom regulatory frameworks.

• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments related to telecom-specific transactions.

• Manage preparation of statutory financial statements and facilitate both internal and external audits.

• Support preparation of reports required by ATRA and ensure financial compliance with license obligations.

• Manage and control monthly interconnect and site sharing settlements (national & international), including reconciliation and resolution of variances with internal and external stakeholders.

• Supervise the preparation and analysis of schedules related to vendors, service providers, and GL accounts; ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Own the coordination and submission of consolidated financial data in Hyperion (Group Reporting Consolidation Tool), ensuring compliance with group-level reporting requirements and as per set deadlines.

• Lead the preparation and review of audit packs, schedules, and documentation required for quarterly reviews and annual external audits; serve as the primary contact for external auditors.

• Drive implementation of internal and external audit recommendations; enhance internal controls and streamline accounting processes.

• Oversee accounting and physical verification of inventory on a semi-annual and annual basis; ensure proper valuation and adherence to internal controls.

• Ensure effective cost monitoring, recording, and variance analysis; drive improvements in cost control and expense tracking across the business.

• Review and approve monthly schedules for all transaction classes and account balances; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Manage investigation and reporting of abnormal variances; ensure timely resolution and proper root cause analysis.

• Maintain oversight of general ledger accounts including revenue, cost, and balance sheet accounts; ensure consistent alignment with internal policies and accounting principles.

• Review and approve the Receivable Aging Report; implement measures to improve collections and reduce aged receivables.

• Review and monitor weekly collection reporting processes; identify trends and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.

• Ensure comprehensive reconciliation of all receivable parties’ Statements of Accounts (SoA), including interconnect (domestic & international), ISP, YahClick, Enterprise, and CPaaS lines of business.

• Drive automation of GL processes and improvements using ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).

• Mentor and develop the GL team in best accounting practices and telecom-specific reporting nuances.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and telecom accounting practices (e.g., revenue streams like prepaid/postpaid, site sharing, IRU).

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such e.g., Microsoft dynamics, D365 etc.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Hyperion).

• Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with regulatory reporting (ATRA) is a strong plus.

• CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualifications are preferred.

Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
