Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Cashier will be responsible for managing all cash-related transactions including collections, disbursements, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role ensures the smooth handling of daily financial operations in compliance with internal policies and accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and record daily cash and cheque payments from sales, customers, and other sources.
  • Issue official receipts for all incoming payments and maintain receipt books securely.
  • Disburse petty cash as per approvals and maintain up-to-date petty cash registers.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and avoid shortages or overages.
  • Deposit daily collections into the company’s bank account when required.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports for the finance department.
  • Maintain proper filing of all cash vouchers and receipts.
  • Perform regular cash counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Support the finance officer in maintaining financial records and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist in stock issuance and sales coordination when required.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Strong numerical and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with cash registers, receipt handling, and voucher preparation.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word and ERP.
  • Good communication skills in Dari and Pashto; basic English is a plus.
  • Honest, reliable, and committed to confidentiality.
