Job Description:
The Sales Manager will lead the commercial sales strategy and execution for GPS-based solutions and value-added ICT services. This role involves managing the full sales cycle, leading a team of field and key account representatives, and driving client acquisition across Afghanistan’s business and public sectors. The Sales Manager must combine deep B2B sales expertise with a technical understanding of GPS, SaaS, and subscription-based service models. This position also plays a critical role in contributing to product-market fit feedback and post-sales satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Design and implement a national sales strategy aligned with GPS service offerings and target markets (e.g., GOV, logistics, transport, security, construction, NGOs)
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across client segments
- Expand revenue streams through cross-selling and upselling of bundled services, add-ons, and software upgrades
- Develop sales expansion strategies in underpenetrated regions and emerging verticals
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and engage new B2B prospects through networking, industry events, outbound efforts, and referrals
- Build strong client relationships and manage large/strategic accounts from prospecting to onboarding
- Understand client operations and propose tailored solutions that maximize ROI and customer lifetime value
- Team Leadership & Sales Operations
- Lead and coach a team of inside and field sales reps, ensuring performance targets and sales discipline
- Develop incentive plans, KPIs, and reporting structures to track team progress and individual productivity
- Oversee CRM usage (e.g., Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce) and ensure accurate tracking of pipelines, leads, and opportunities
- Proposal Management & Contracting
- Oversee development of commercial proposals, quotations, and service agreements
- Collaborate with finance and legal to ensure compliance with pricing, payment terms, and contract risk mitigation
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with enterprise and public clients, balancing competitiveness and profitability
- Market Intelligence & Strategic Input
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and product positioning
- Provide input to product and operations teams based on client feedback, churn analysis, and sales insights
- Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance reports to General Manager
- Participate in product roadmap reviews and go-to-market launches
Candidate Profile
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, ICT, or related field (required)
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in ICT, GPS tracking, telecom, or enterprise technology sectors
- Prior experience selling subscription-based or IoT-enabled solutions is a strong advantage
- Experience working with government and enterprise procurement teams in Afghanistan
- Previous team leadership and account-based selling background required
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical sales skills with ability to communicate complex solutions clearly
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities
- Excellent negotiation, proposal writing, and pipeline management skills
- High emotional intelligence and ability to work with diverse clients and teams
- Self-driven, resilient, and performance-focused
- Fluent in English and Dari (Pashto a plus)
