Job Description:
The community mobilizer will be based in Alingar district of Laghman and will be directly reported to the Project Manager and will engage communities, beneficiaries, and stakeholders and ensure effective mobilization and engagement of local communities effectively in the program.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to achieving the project’s results, the follow-up of activities, and beneficiaries.
Organize community public meetings and facilitate the selection of the Committee members at district levels and support them in fulfilling their duties.
Conduct regular community meetings in the project targeted communities.
Conduct monitoring activities, data collection, and reporting.
Develop weekly updates and monthly reports on community mobilization activities.
Monitor the progress of the trainees and report to the project manager.
Identify and report any challenges/problems to the project manager and present solutions.
Monitor the attendance of the trainees and report absenteeism.
Any other tasks being assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
A Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Education, psychology, Social Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, law and political science and/ or a related field.
A Minimum of 4 years’ experience in social work and community mobilization in humanitarian projects with I/NGOs.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated interest, enthusiasm, and commitment to working with women and girls, their rights, safety, empowerment, and improving their access to resources and services, with a positive attitude and ability to lead and work well in a team.
Superior communication skills (oral & written) in Dari / Pashto / English.
Willing to travel to project sites as required by the program.
Knowledge of community mobilization.
Decision-making skills that are most appropriate to specific situations and immediately.
