About Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO):

ASLO is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-partisan organization and has the status of legal entity. The organization was informally established in 2012 and was officially registered with the ministry of economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013.

Job Description:

  • Lead the strategic planning and development of FSL programs in line with organizational and donor priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance for the design and implementation of FSL activities (agriculture, livestock, cash transfers, vocational training, etc.).
  • Conduct needs assessments and market analyses to inform program design.
  • Ensure quality implementation of projects through effective work planning, monitoring, and field visits.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure spending is in line with financial plans and donor requirements.
  • Coordinate with MEAL teams to develop indicators, monitor results, and ensure accountability to communities.
  • Build capacity of local staff and partners through training and technical support.
  • Foster collaboration and coordination with other sectors (WASH, Nutrition, Protection, etc.) and relevant stakeholders (local government, NGOs, UN agencies).
  • Prepare high-quality donor reports, proposals, and communication materials.

Represent the organization in relevant coordination forums and stakeholder meetings

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing FSL programs in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Strong knowledge of food security frameworks (e.g., IPC, HEA), livelihoods programming, and resilience building.
  • Experience in managing cash/voucher programs, market-based interventions, or value chain development is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and build capacity.
  • Strong budget and donor report writing skills (e.g., USAID, ECHO, DFID, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in [Insert Required Languages].
