Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Data Manager – Supply Chain oversees the management, analysis, and integrity of supply chain data, including inventory, procurement, and logistics records. The role ensures accurate reporting, forecasting, and monitoring of key supply chain indicators, while collaborating with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams. Additionally, the Data Manager supports system maintenance, develops dashboards and standard procedures, provides training, and identifies opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and data accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain supply chain data, including inventory levels, procurement records, supplier performance, and logistics information.
  • Oversee monthly consumption reporting and LMIS data in mSupply.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor key supply chain KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, lead times, stock levels, supplier reliability).
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy across all systems.
  • Forecast and maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize excess and expired stock, assist with inventory counts, and capture discrepancies and purchase order variances to ensure accurate system records.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity by conducting regular audits and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Support supply chain planning and forecasting processes with timely and accurate data.
  • Maintain and enhance the functionality of mSupply, LMIS, and other digital tools used in supply management.
  • Develop and document standard procedures for data entry, validation, and reporting in pharmaceutical management.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on data management tools and best practices in pharmaceutical supply management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in statistics or related field
  • Experience: At least 5 years’ experience. 
  • Experience in m-supply or managing data in the health supply chain would be an added advantage.
  • Experience with mSupply or other health supply chain management systems is an advantage.
  • Previous work experience with health organizations preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in English and local languages (Dari and Pashto).
