Key Duties and Responsibilities

A. Production Management

• Plan, organize, and control the production process to achieve targeted output volumes and quality.
• Ensure continuous operation of crushing, grinding, sorting, and packing lines with minimum downtime.
• Oversee raw material feeding, processing, and output in accordance with production schedules.
• Maintain production records, analyze performance, and implement measures to optimize efficiency.
• Coordinate with mining operations to ensure consistent and quality raw material supply.

B. Quality Assurance

• Ensure the talc produced meets required chemical and physical specifications as per customer or market standards.
• Supervise laboratory testing and quality checks at each stage of processing.
• Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to identify and correct deviations.
• Ensure relevant quality system standards (if applicable) are followed.
• Implement a system of traceability for all batches/products supplied to customers.

C. Maintenance & Equipment Management

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all processing equipment (crushers, screens, dryers, etc.).
• Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs to avoid production disruptions.
• Maintain proper stock of critical spare parts and consumables.
• Ensure machinery operates at optimal capacity and energy efficiency.

D. Supply Chain & Dispatch

• Coordinate with logistics and sales departments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of processed talc to customers.
• Maintain stock control of finished products and ensure accurate documentation.
• Liaise with transporters, warehouse staff, and clients for efficient order fulfillment.
• Monitor and manage plant input materials (fuel, packaging, chemicals) for uninterrupted operations.

E. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

• Enforce strict safety standards and promote a safety-first culture among staff and laborers.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (dust control, waste management, etc.).
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and drills.
• Ensure staff use protective equipment and follow operational safety procedures.

F. Personnel & Administration

• Supervise, train, and evaluate plant personnel.
• Develop and implement staff schedules, rotations, and training plans.
• Foster teamwork and accountability among plant staff.
• Manage labor discipline and resolve conflicts effectively.

G. Planning, Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports including output, downtime, efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Report key operational data to management and recommend improvements.
• Participate in budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with procurement, sales, finance, and logistics for smooth operational flow.

H. Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Recommend adoption of new technologies and process improvements.
• Support the company’s overall goal of becoming a reliable, competitive talc supplier in domestic and export markets.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in mineral processing, preferably talc or similar industrial minerals.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mineral processing systems (crushing, milling, screening, separation, classification).

Management Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, plan production schedules, and meet customer delivery deadlines.

IT Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, production tracking systems, and reporting tools.

Language: Proficiency in English, Dari, and/or Pashto required.

Other: Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making abilities
