Apex AMANAT Microfinance Services (AAMS), an impact-driven investment arm of the Rupani Development Initiative (RDI), is launching a new Microfinance Institution (MFI) in Afghanistan.
Job Description:
Rupani Development Initiative (RDI) is looking for experienced professionals for its upcoming Microfinance Institution (MFI) in Afghanistan. The positions aim to build a strong management team to ensure effective operations, financial sustainability, and impactful service delivery.
General Responsibilities:
The MIS / Compliance Officer will ensure data integrity, regulatory adherence, and institutional compliance. This position supports strategic decision-making through accurate data management and compliance monitoring.
Responsibilities:

Track and analyze key performance indicators, loan portfolio data, and operational impact metrics to support data-driven decisions.

Ensure adherence to internal policies, donor requirements, and DAB regulations governing Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs).

Monitor and report on compliance related to Sharia-compliant financial products, in coordination with Sharia advisors.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date MIS databases to facilitate timely reporting and audit readiness.

Identify compliance gaps or potential risks and propose corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate internal reviews and audits to ensure transparency and accountability.

Prepare compliance reports and present findings to senior management for decision-making.

Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance standards, recordkeeping, and data accuracy.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E, compliance, or audit within the microfinance or development sector.
Requird Skills:
- Strong understanding of Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) regulations governing Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), particularly those related to Islamic financial products.
- Knowledge of Islamic finance compliance principles will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with MIS software is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

High integrity, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
- Strong English repoting skill
- Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto languages.
