Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with business goals and growth objectives.
- Providing strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
- Overseeing long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Influencing overall company strategy.
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Overseeing the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) .
- Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyzing financial performance to identify areas for improvement or cost savings.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Implementing internal controls to ensure accurate financial records and mitigate risks.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies, procedures.
- Assessing and managing financial risks, such as currency and interest rate fluctuations.
Cash Flow and Capital Management:
- Managing cash flow and treasury functions to ensure adequate liquidity and capital structure.
- Optimizing capital structure and financing strategies to support growth and operations.
- Developing relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions to secure funding.
Operational Efficiency and Cost Management:
- Collaborating with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiencies.
- Evaluating and managing significant investments, acquisitions, and mergers, providing insights on financial viability.
- Overseeing procurement and budgeting to align spending with financial goals.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Leading and developing the finance team, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
- Mentoring finance managers to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources
- Communicating financial goals and strategies to stakeholders and employees.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is typically required, with an MBA or Master's degree in Finance often preferred.
- Experience: Extensive experience (10+ years) in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP of Finance, CFO) .
- Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certifications are highly desirable.
