Job Description:
Job Summary
CESVI is currently seeking a field facilitator having expertise in DRR programming. He will support the CESVI programmes, focusing, among others, on beneficiaries’ engagement, community coordination, capacity building activities, implementation and monitoring of DRR activities, as well as collection of data.
Job Requirements:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Ensure efficient and effective implementation of DRR-based intervention at the community level.
- Take the lead to sensitize the communities on DRR core knowledge in project activities.
- Providing support in DRR and resilience-building initiatives in the CESVI project.
- Support knowledge building and management across projects and activities.
- Support in the formation of village DRR committees and promote DRR good practice at the community level.
- Support the community in inclusive vulnerability hazard assessments and the drafting of DRR plans.
- Conduct community-based meetings for coordination and awareness raising.
- Support the DRR campaign to raise awareness on DRR preparedness and response among local communities.
- Support in the conduction of training on DRR at the community level.
- Organizing field monitoring visits to ensure quality work and timely implementation of activities.
- Write activities and monitoring reports.
- Support with the distribution of emergency response kits.
- Perform other related activities and duties as required.
