Afghan Cart Corporation is a state-owned enterprise with over four decades of experience in safe import, export, and sales worldwide. The corporation operates based on established procedures, delivering reliable services while maintaining strong relationships with customers. Its main shareholders include the General State-Owned Corporations Administration of Afghanistan, Pashtany Bank, Ministry of Trade and Industry, 21 limited companies, and 228 national and private traders.

To strengthen its digital presence and support organizational growth, Afghan Cart Corporation seeks a Website Developer with expertise in WordPress and Drupal, combined with strong graphic design skills, to manage, maintain, and enhance its web and digital assets.

. Purpose of the Position

The Website Developer will develop, maintain, and optimize the corporation’s websites while creating and managing digital content. The role combines web development, graphic design, content management, and technical support to ensure a cohesive online presence and support future digital expansion.

 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain websites using WordPress and Drupal.
• Ensure websites are secure, responsive, mobile-friendly, and optimized for performance.
• Implement UI/UX best practices for an intuitive user experience.
• Manage web hosting environments, domains, SSL certificates, and backups (cPanel/VPS).
• Design and produce digital content: web/UI graphics, banners, icons, reports, brochures, stationery, and social media visuals.
• Collaborate with other departments (Communications, PR, Administration) for content updates and approvals.
• Maintain version control, documentation, and adherence to web and design standards.
• Contribute to the company’s digital strategy, future website scaling, and potential training of junior staff.

. Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in WordPress/Drupal web development and graphic design.
• Technical Skills:
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP
  • Database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • WordPress and Drupal CMS
  • Graphic design tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma
  • cPanel and VPS management
• Soft Skills: Communication, teamwork, creativity, attention to detail, problem-solving.
