About Aseel Technology Incorporation:

About Aseel

Aseel means Authentic, Original in Pashto, Dari, and several other languages. In 2018, Aseel started as a tech-driven solutions provider headquartered in Washington, DC. Aseel’s journey began with a commitment to uplift artisans and underserved communities in Afghanistan and Turkey. We foresee onboarding all 46 underdeveloped countries to the digital economy, paving the way to connect three billion people being excluded from active participation in the digital economy. Aseel remains steadfast in delivering sustainable and innovative ideas that serve a broader audience, yielding a more substantial impact.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Aseel operates remotely with a global team across the US, UK, Egypt, Turkey, India, Africa, and beyond — united by one vision: to make doing good digital, scalable, and measurable.

Job Description:

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and data-driven Social Media Specialist to join our on-site team in Kabul, Afghanistan.

As part of the Marketing Department, you will play a key role in shaping Aseel’s online presence, engaging global audiences, and communicating stories of impact. You will create compelling digital content that reflects Aseel’s mission and promotes its growing suite of innovative products.

This role is ideal for someone who understands both storytelling and strategy — someone eager to use social media as a force for social good.

What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and grow Aseel’s presence across all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Develop creative, localized campaigns that build awareness for Aseel’s digital products and humanitarian work.
  • Increase engagement with both Afghan and global audiences, connecting artisans, donors, and changemakers through storytelling.
  • Contribute to Aseel’s brand visibility by curating impactful, consistent, and authentic digital narratives.
  • Integrate impact data (beneficiary stories, aid deliveries, artisan highlights) into social content to strengthen transparency and trust.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Marketing teams to support product launches and awareness campaigns for Buy Good, Campaign+, and AidOS.

What Is Expected From You:

1. Social Media Management

  • Plan, create, and publish daily content aligned with Aseel’s mission, tone, and visual identity.
  • Maintain a unified brand voice while tailoring messaging for different platforms and audiences.
  • Engage actively with followers — responding to messages, comments, and community posts to foster authentic engagement.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Director on paid ads, campaign scheduling, and social boosts.

2. Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to develop visual content, short videos, and graphics.
  • Highlight stories from Aseel’s beneficiaries, partners, and community members.
  • Promote new product launches, features, and humanitarian milestones.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Aseel’s brand guidelines and social impact ethos.

3. Campaign Management

  • Execute social media campaigns supporting product awareness, sales, fundraising, and emergency responses.
  • Coordinate influencer collaborations, social ads, and cross-platform initiatives.
  • Work with the Marketing team to plan monthly editorial calendars and track campaign performance.

4. Data & Analytics

  • Monitor social media insights, engagement, and traffic data.
  • Prepare monthly performance reports for the Marketing Director.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize content and audience engagement strategies.

5. Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Marketing, Product, and Operations teams in Afghanistan and abroad.
  • Participate in internal brainstorming and creative meetings.
  • Support company events, press releases, and community outreach initiatives.

  • Familiarity with social media tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva, etc.).
  • Understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
  • Excellent communication in English (Dari and/or Pashto proficiency is an advantage).
