The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Collect and collate on-farm data for analysis.
  • Code and maintain databases of agricultural information.
  • Support the creation of data collection tools and plans.
  • Analyze data and draft reports on assessments.
  • Track and follow up on training provided to beneficiaries.
  • Field and project implementation
  • Participate in field activities, such as training, workshops, and community meetings.
  • Monitor the application of technical training in the field.
  • Provide backstopping and technical support to groups and farmers.
  • Support the establishment of producer groups (e.g., for seeds and natural fertilizer).
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities and budgets.
  • Administrative and coordination
  • Assist with administrative tasks like procurement, payments, and logistics.
  • Help with meeting preparation, note-taking, and document filing.
  • Laise with Communication Dept and Compliance as well.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS   

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related fields 3 years of relevant work experience in agricultural extension, farmer training, or field support.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSEssential

  • A good knowledge of agricultural practices
  • Good understanding of crop production, pest management, and soil fertility.
  • Practical knowledge of irrigation systems and sustainable farming techniques.
  • Good communication and community mobilization skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Spoken and written fluency in English and Local Languages (Pashto, Dari) and computer literacy (MS Office)
