Job Description:
Knack Rise, a leading Telecom Tower and Power Solutions Provider (TTSP), is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Power and Maintenance Manager to oversee the stability, reliability, and upkeep of power systems across our nationwide telecom tower sites. This role is pivotal in ensuring uninterrupted service delivery to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) through robust power infrastructure including city grid, diesel generators (DG), solar arrays, and battery backup systems.
The ideal candidate is a technically sound, hands-on leader with deep expertise in hybrid power systems, preventive maintenance, and site-level operational excellence. This position demands a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities, who can drive performance, compliance, and innovation across all our tower locations.
Objectives of the Role
- Ensure 100% uptime of power systems across all telecom tower sites through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Lead the technical oversight and maintenance of city power, DG, solar, and battery backup systems.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize asset life.
- Maintain real-time visibility into site-level power performance and maintenance status.
- Uphold safety, compliance, and environmental standards across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
Power System Management
- Monitor and manage the performance of city grid, DG sets, solar panels, and battery banks across all sites.
- Ensure optimal load sharing and switching between power sources to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Analyze power consumption trends and recommend efficiency improvements or upgrades.
Maintenance Oversight
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all power and site infrastructure.
- Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure rapid response to outages or equipment failures.
- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and interventions.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise and train site technicians and maintenance staff across regions.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for equipment servicing and upgrades.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all maintenance and power operations comply with national safety and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on site performance, maintenance KPIs, and budget utilization.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Innovation & Optimization
- Stay updated on global best practices in telecom power management and maintenance.
- Recommend and implement new technologies or processes to improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Support sustainability initiatives such as solar expansion and energy efficiency programs.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. (Master is preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in power systems management and site maintenance, preferably in telecom or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience with DG sets, solar systems, battery banks, and hybrid power configurations.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with remote monitoring systems, and technical reporting.
- Able to travel to provinces and sites for monitoring and troubleshooting when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Power Systems, Maintenance Management, or Energy Auditing.
- Experience working with MNOs or TTSPs in a multi-site operational environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
