Job Description:

  • Assure a regular supply of all medical supplies/equipment to the health facilities level and evaluate the pharmacy department activities in accordance with the organization, Donors, and other stake holder’s policies and regulations
  • Ensure the quality of medical supplies and equipment (during procurement or stocking) in the provincial office and the Health Facilities.
  • Estimate the number of drugs needed for implementation of BPHS in each facility; the estimate is to be based on data reflecting actual consumption in accordance with the HMIS reports
  • Review and comment on HF drug requests and distribution list before finalizing them and maintain a standard and accepted drug consumption system in BDN-managed HFs
  • Collect the pharmacy Department reports, analyze the data, and give feedback to the pharmacy staff of the project HFs.
  • Assist project in Designing, Planning, and arranging the pharmacy-related training
  • Assist the Project in the recruitment of Pharmacist in the Health facilities
  • Assist the Project in establishing and maintaining a good recording and maintenance system in the provincial pharmacy and health facility stocks.
  • Supervise, monitor, and provide feedback on pharmaceutical activities.
  • Receive, analyze, and approve all pharmaceutical requests according to the (BPHS, NMP national medicines policy, and LDL license medicine list).
  • Quantification of medicine for the project.
  • Prepare the emergency kit according to the project's rational request.
  • Contribute to developing different pharmacy reports required by the management team or the Donors.
  • Participate in coordination meetings related to pharmacy task forces and represent BDN.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Pharmacist with the relevant 3 years of experience and technician with 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent computer knowledge.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Local Languages.
  • Must be proactive in being a member of the provincial team.
  • Must be patient, diplomatic, and professional.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities and make decisions independently.
  • Must have strong facilitation skills and work as a team player.
  • Local staff will be preferred.
