Job Description:
HMIS Officer is responsible to plan, organise, implement, control and follow up all HMIS activities of the projects. Strengthening the HMIS system, skills of all involved and keep close co-operation with Main office HMIS department.
- Inter the HMIS data received from Health Facilities in the HMIS database on monthly basis.
- Compile, analyse and interpret health data and information received from Health Facility levels.
- Provide constructive feedbacks pertinent to HMIS monthly, quarterly and semi annual reports to Health Facilities.
- Provide updated HMIS forms to all project health facilities.
- Provide updated MOPH guidelines and protocols to all Health Facilities whenever required
- Conduct initial and refresher HMIS training and provide on-job training for staff of Health Facilities.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of data generated in Health Facilities.
- Compile and submit HMIS monthly, quarterly and annual progress report to Main office.
- Prepare quarterly presentations focusing on trend of data and achievements to technical manager of the project.
- Give advice and support to the project staff in HMIS related tasks (e.g., data collection, analysis and use of health information.)
- Visit and supervise the HMIS activities of the health facilities. eg. Routine reporting, surveys, group discussions, etc) based on work plan.
- Attend HMIS committees of PPHD on time.
- Enhance ability of project staff in HMIS related tasks by conducting workshops, on-the-job training and through other means upgrade skills of information gathering and analysis.
- Provide support to the Project Technical Manager in development of the quarterly project reports and annual reports.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from Medical University & Holding MPH is preferable.
- Fluent in English language.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the same field.
- Excellent computer knowledge.
- Honest and trustworthy.
Skills Required:
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to prioritized multiple responsibilities negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills oral and written in Dari, Pashto and English.
- Must be proactive being a member of Provincial Management team
- Must be patient diplomatic and professional.
- Must have strong facilitation skills and work as a team player.
- Actively shares relevant information.
- Clearly communicates, and listens to feedback on, changing priorities and procedures.
