Job Description – Sales Head

Position Overview

The Sales Head for the Two-Wheeler Business is responsible for leading the sales operations of the motorcycle division, managing dealer networks, expanding market share, achieving sales targets, and driving strategic growth across Afghanistan. This role oversees sales planning, forecasting, pricing strategy, dealer performance, team management, and coordination with warehouse, logistics, finance, and marketing departments.

The Sales Head plays a critical leadership role in strengthening the company’s two-wheeler business, ensuring high performance, dealer satisfaction, and sustainable profitability.

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement the sales strategy for motorcycles in alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare annual and monthly sales plans, forecasts, and targets for all regions.
  • Identify market trends, growth opportunities, and competitive activities in the two-wheeler sector.
  • Set different strategies for high-potential regions, seasonal trends, and product performance.

 

2. Dealer Network Development & Management

  • Expand, appoint, and manage the dealer network across Afghanistan.
  • Evaluate dealer performance through KPIs, stock movement, and sales growth.
  • Conduct regular dealer visits to review performance, address challenges, and strengthen relationships.
  • Ensure dealers comply with branding standards, pricing policies, and sales guidelines.
  • Resolve dealer disputes, overdue payments, and market conflicts.

3. Sales Operations & Execution

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales achievements against targets.
  • Ensure proper stock allocation to regions based on market demand and dealer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse & Logistics for timely dispatches of motorcycles and spare parts.
  • Supervise the Sales Coordinators to ensure timely documentation, invoicing, and dealer communication.
  • Implement schemes, discount policies, and seasonal promotions to boost sales.

 

4. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the sales team.
  • Set clear KPIs for Regional Sales team, Dealer, and Sales Coordinators.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, team reviews, performance evaluations, and field training.
  • Build a strong, motivated, high-performing sales force.

5. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis

  • Continuously monitor competitor pricing, schemes, new model launches, and market activities.
  • Conduct field studies and collect market data from regions.
  • Provide recommendations to management on pricing, promotions, and product mix.

6. Pricing, Schemes & Business Control

  • Recommend pricing strategies, sales schemes, discounts, and dealer incentives.
  • Control credit limits, overdue payments, and financial exposure related to dealers.
  • Work with Finance Department on sales reconciliation, collections, and financial compliance.

7. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Analyze sales data, market performance, and stock consumption patterns.
  • Present business reviews, growth plans, and performance updates to the CEO/Board.

8. Branding & Marketing Coordination

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to plan promotional activities, campaigns, and dealer branding.
  • Support marketing content related to new launches, price updates, and product features.
  • Participate in product demonstrations, exhibitions, and dealer events.

9. Customer & Market Support

  • Ensure after-sales service coordination for dealers in collaboration with the Service Department.
  • Address customer complaints escalated from dealers or field teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, fleets, and institutional buyers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in sales leadership roles.
    • Automotive or two-wheeler industry experience is mandatory.
    • Proven track record in sales growth, dealer management, and team leadership.
