Job Description:

  • Assist in the management of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, issuing and tracking of goods and assets.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of inventory, stock movements, asset register and warehouse documents.
  • Conduct regular physical counts and reconciliations of inventory and assets.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions and maintenance of the warehouse and its contents.
  • Assist in the management of the fleet, including planning, scheduling, dispatching and monitoring of vehicles and drivers.
  • Directing and conducting routine warehouse cleaning tasks
  • Assist in the management of the facility, including overseeing the cleaning, maintenance and repair of the office and guesthouse premises.
  • Responsible for controlling and maintaining sufficient records of any transactions and movements of products in the warehouse
  • In charge of updating all warehouse records in a timely manner
  • Obligated to frequently update the project manager/budget holder of quantities in stock.
  • Responsible for the management of warehouse keys
  • Ensure that the dispatch area is clearly define and ready at all times
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of facility contracts, bills, utilities and services.
  • Preparation of monthly reports on warehouse,
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Pharmacy, supply chain management, economic, business or related field from recognized university or institutes. (A degree in Pharmacy is an added advantage
  • 2 years of experience managing warehouse with INGO
  • Experience managing warehouse for EPHS/BPHS in Afghanistan
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian principals, emergency program management and security management in high risk environments
  • English language required,
  • Flexibility, team work, creativity and strong sense of humor essential for functions in this position
  • Solid programmatic, organizational planning and technical skills, with a proven ability to work under pressure and solve problems in fast paced environments
  • Willingness to provide capacity building trainings to staff
  • Ready to work, live and travel in an intricate and strenuous environment
