About AWDREO:

Action for welfare and Development of Rural Environment Organization (AWDREO) is a non-governmental, Non-profit and non- political Organization engaged in Multi Sector programs in the realms of Education, Livelihood, Community Development, Capacity building, Human Resource Management, Emergency Response health and WASH.

AWDREO established in 2015, aims to be a catalyst for promoting peace, stability and development, alongside the government of Afghanistan, by targeting the marginalized. Women, girl’s youth and children, the illiterate and the poor people in Rural Communities. AWDREO as part of its program will implement the project Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) in Gardiz District of Paktia Province. 

Job Description:

POSITION BREIF DESCRIPITION:

The position will be for six months, and project manager will be responsible for overall controlling and managing the UCSS project activities in Jawozjan Province and should have regular communication with stakeholders and smooth reporting accordingly based on approved work plan.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Making coordination of project activities with line department and relevant stakeholder.
  • Lead, oversee and implement successful project implementation in accordance with its approved work plan throughout the project duration.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Make sure that the right beneficiaries are selected based on the program plan and donor criteria.
  • Define project scope of work, and deliverables that contribute to the overall goal of the project in collaboration with Program Manager of AWDREO and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project requirements to the team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise and coordinate activities with all stakeholders including concerned governmental and non-governmental entities on a regular basis.
  • Represent AWDREO in all project meetings and events.
  • Supervise the performance of the project staff and provide timely guidance to the team for ensuring achievement of the project set outcomes.
  • Make sure that the AWDREO’S policies, guidelines, procedures and manuals are understood by all staff and properly implemented.
  • Draft and submit Distribution reports according to the project reporting requirements and schedules to the donor entity.
  • Determine the problem areas and suggest suitable solutions to the relevant and potential obstacles that might affect the project progress.
  • Proactively manage changes in the project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and encourages them to take positive actions and adapt full accountability for their assigned duties.
  • Ensure visibility of the project activities are in line with the donor’s policies
  • Keeps the filing systems up to date all the time.
  • Have properly and regularly communication with main office regarding costing and logistic requirement.
  • Having properly filling system of the project document.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, BBA or any other relevant field with five -years experience in managing of the livelihood, project, emergency, and food security project.  
  • Knowledge of non- profit organization in reporting,
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Should have good analysis about Jawzjan province context
  • Strong organizational and work prioritization skills and attention to detail
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity
  • Negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage and direct a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Robust communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to build trust
  • Provides information and documentation on specific stages of project implementation
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in English and Local Language (Persion, Pashto, Uzbek).
