Job Description:

The MD Couple Trainers will support the DAWAM Project by delivering high-quality, practical, and up-to-date training sessions for health facility staff on WASH standards, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), health-care waste management, and AWD/Cholera prevention. Working directly inside healthcare facilities across Nangarhar Province, the selected couple (male & female) will play a key role in
strengthening the knowledge and practices of doctors, nurses, midwives, cleaners, and support staff to reduce infection-related risks and improve hygiene conditions in clinical environments.

The role contributes to building a safer healthcare system by promoting evidence-based medical and hygiene practices through interactive training, hands-on demonstrations, and tailored awareness sessions aligned with national guidelines and global WASH standards. This position is short-term but highly impactful,requiring strong technical knowledge, professional conduct, and effective facilitation
skills.

Responsibilities:
Deliver structured training sessions to HCF staff on IPC, WASH standards, AWD/cholera prevention, vector control and medical waste management.

Prepare or adapt training materials, presentations and handouts using project-
approved content.

Ensure gender-appropriate and culturally sensitive training delivery, allowing equal participation.

Conduct practical demonstrations and on-site coaching within healthcare facilities.

Coordinate with facility management to schedule and organize training sessions efficiently.

Document attendance, training outputs and short monitoring notes for reporting purposes.

Support the project team with any technical recommendations related to healthcare hygiene, IPC or medical practices observed during training.

Job Requirements:

Education And Experience:

A minimum MD Degree is required.

A Minimum 5 years of experience in medical, clinical in WASH or hygiene areas are required.

Proven experience in training design and delivery (health programs, medical training, or community capacity building) is preferable.

Knowledge and Skills:

Fluency in Dari or Pashto and ability to communicate clearly with health facility staff.

Able and willing to conduct 6 working days training inside healthcare facilities in Nangarhar Province.

Familiar with computer and office packages.

Strong Interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.
