Action Against Hunger/Action Contre La Faim (AAH/ACF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was created in France in1979. AAH/ACF has been active in Afghanistan in the medical, nutrition, food security, and water and sanitation fields since 1995.AAH/ACF improved access to health and nutrition services for the most vulnerable people, who live in remote areas without a localhealth system. In particular, the country team supported pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under five, who are atgreater risk of malnutrition. Nutrition programs rely on an integrated approach, addressing both primary and underlying causes, inorder to have a lasting impact on nutritional status. The country team worked at community level, in villages and at provincial level,strengthening the public health system. It also worked at national level to ensure reliable information about the nutritional situation reached the wider humanitarian community. Covid-19 prevention was integrated into all interventions and additional responseactivities were implemented, such as the disinfection of health facilities and public places, cash assistance, psychosocial support andthe distribution of hygiene kits to affected populations.

Ensure security of people, equipment and properties

Mission 1: Ensure people’s security

The Security Guard is responsible for:

• Check entries, exits, movements of people inside and outside the premises, day and night;
• Must accompany expatriates in every movements (except when AAH employee is going);
• Control crowd movements;
• Make sure all external persons are register properly;
• Report immediately any trouble or problem;
• Report immediately any major event.
• Make sure outsiders are requested ID Card when entering AAH compounds
• Make sure Visitors badge is allocated to outsiders

Mission 2: Ensure security of premises, equipment and properties

The Head of Security Guards is responsible for:

• Ensure that no equipment is stolen;
• Ensure the totality of food supplies and equipment during transfer is properly done;
• Check all the enclosures, doors and windows;
• Ensure night patrols;
• Control that all security lights are working properly.
• Properly use the AAH equipment or request training if needed
• Report to Head of Security Guards any functioning problem

Mission 3: Various tasks

The Security Guards is responsible for:

• Switch on and off the generator
• Contribute to waste management
• Contribute to keep compounds clean
• Contribute to loading/unloading of the materiel from/in the vehicles

Skills and Education

Education: High school graduate

Experience: At least 4 years experience (Experience with NGOs are asset)

Skills: Screening, Fire preventions Skills, Good communication skills, physically fit
