Welthungerhilfe it is one of Germany's biggest non-governmental relief organizations. Non-profit making, politically independent and non-denominational, the organization is run by a Supervisory Board of honorary members under the patronage of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its work is funded by private donations and public grants. Welthungerhilfe is working since the 1980’s continuously in Afghanistan and opened the first offices in 1992. Since this time Welthungerhilfe has implemented some 165 projects in Afghanistan. Main fields of Welthungerhilfe intervention in Afghanistan are emergency relief, food and nutrition security, rural and regional development and water and sanitation.

Objectives, Duties, Areas of Responsibility

1. Objectives of the Position

• Implementation of project activities according to deadlines and organizational, contractual, and financial directives.

• Responsible for procurement activities, implementing technical measures and/or social components within the framework of the project assignment.

• Implementation of specialist workshops

• Consultancy regarding technical equipment, social issues, or other areas related to this position

• Ensures adherence to quality standards

• Management and maintenance of technical equipment, if applicable

• Instruction and training of national staff

• Monitoring inventory management of relief supplies (incoming/outgoing goods, stock checks, resupply), and distribution to target groups/project locations

• Documentation of technical and procurement processes as per co-financing agreement or WHH directives (AAR, etc.)

• Preparation of project progress reports

• Any other tasks assigned by management relevant to this position

2.3 Specific Activities and Duties

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical advice and improvement suggestions on nutrition-related matters.

2. Prepare nutrition-related training materials and awareness messages supporting social behavior change communication.

3. Support and build capacity of nutrition assistants in conducting community-level nutrition sessions.

4. Conduct nutrition training/awareness sessions in target areas.

5. Meet communities and identify dietary needs by assessing health, exercise routines, and food habits.

6. Develop and support the implementation of nutrition plans in target areas.

7. Provide advice on staying healthy and support communities in their progress.

8. Oversee consultation calendar for efficiency.

9. Simplify important information for communities and explain benefits of healthy dieting.

10. Stay updated on the latest nutritional diets and trends.

1. Bachelor degree of public health, master degree will be preferred.
2. Fluency in local languages (Dari and Pashto, Uzbiki would be an advantage).
3. Excellent in writing, speaking and undrestanding of English language.
4. Having at least five years proven similar working experience for bachelor degree and three years for master degree.

5. Master degree with same or similar experience witn INGO will be preffered.

6. Good/Intermediate computer skill
