Job Description:

Objectives, Duties, Areas of Responsibility

1. Objectives of the Position

  • Implement project activities according to deadlines and organizational, contractual, and financial directives.

  • Responsible for supporting procurement activities, technical measures, and/or social components within the project framework.

2. Duties and Areas of Responsibility

2.1 Duties without own area of responsibility

  • Conduct specialist workshops

  • Provide consultancy regarding technical equipment, social issues, or other relevant topics

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards

  • Manage and maintain technical equipment (if applicable)

  • Train and guide national staff

  • Monitor inventory management of relief supplies (incoming/outgoing goods, stock checks, resupply) and distribution

  • Document technical and procurement processes as per WHH directives (e.g., AAR)

  • Prepare project progress reports

  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by management

2.2 Specific Activities and Duties

1. Implementation of NRM activities based on community context and needs.
2. Establishing village level Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) commitee and Rangeland Management Associations (RMA)..
3. Assist NRM specialist in conducting workshop of preparing NRM action plan and support RMA members to develop their action plan.
4. Assisting NRM specialist in developing of training and awareness materials.
5. Conduct training and awareness sessions for members of DRR commitees, members of RMA and community people at village level.
6. Assist NRM specialist in preparing technical design and BoQs for NRM/Rangeland management activities.
7. Support the DRR/RMA members to implement the NRM/Rangeland management activities.
8. Support RMA members to implement and monitor the implementation of their NRM action plan.

9. Oversee and monitor cash for work related activities

10. Engage with local communities, local partners for smooth impelementation of NRM activities.

11. collect NRM related data at the field level and support NRM specialist in data anlysis.

12. conducting field serveys for the assessment of natural resource management, biodiversity and relevant NRM feasible practices.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree in civil engineering , construction, irrigation, hydrology, forestry, agriculture,  Environmental Sience or related decipline.

2. Priority will be give to candidates possese civil engineering with NRM background.
3. Fluency in local languages (Dari and Pashto, Uzbiki would be an advantage) and well undrestanding English.
4. Having at least two years similar working experience with (I)NGOs.
