About Enabled Children Initiative:

Enabled Children Initiative (ECIAO) is an independent non-profit organization  operates as a local NGO in Afghanistan under the name Enabled Children Initiative Afghanistan Organization (ECIAO) with registration number (5995).

Established in 2010, ECI is dedicated to supporting children with disabilities in Afghanistan and works to improve access to basic services, promote inclusion, and enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

Job Description:

The Employee will be employed as ECI-Care Home Coordinator (children with disabilities) the Employee will undertake and perform the following duties and responsibilities and other duties and responsibilities that will be assigned to him  by ECIAO from time to time (the “Services”):

 

Manage Purchase Requests (PRs) & Purchase Orders (POs) and oversee budget management, ensuring spending plans align with organizational goals.
 Demonstrate strong communication skills, including timely reporting of child protection issues.
• Handle project and program budgets for NGOs, regularly updating budget versus actuals and preparing spending forecasts.
• Display willingness to work with disabled children and undergo training in Child Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Child Case Management.
• Ensure smooth operation of ECI_Care Home, including safety checks, monitoring camera functionality.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings effectively, fostering collaboration among staff and sharing meeting minutes with management.
• Supervise personnel, conducting performance appraisals and providing necessary support and guidance.
• Manage logistics and workflow, optimizing resource allocation and maintaining productivity.
• Ensure quality control and facilitate communication among departments to address operational challenges promptly.
• Conduct resource planning, considering organizational priorities and sustainability.
• Oversee daily office operations, including clerical tasks and timely reporting of child protection issues to leadership
• Monitor office equipment functionality and manage supply inventory, taking proactive measures to address maintenance needs.
• Welcome and assist visitors courteously, maintaining a professional demeanor and representing the organization positively..
• Organize and maintain files, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct performance appraisals for staff, recognizing achievements and identifying areas for improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field

  • Relevant work experience in administrative, coordination, or NGO environments

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and administrative systems

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

  • Willingness and ability to work with children with disabilities

  • Commitment to attend child safeguarding, child protection, and case management trainings

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • High level of integrity and commitment to organizational policies and ethical standards
