Job Description:

Summary:

This is a key position that reports directly to the Managing Director. This person will be responsible to help develop and implement an updated brand awareness strategy as Quest is on the verge of joining a top 20 international accounting network. We are looking for someone with strong character and leadership abilities as the person may eventually join Quest’s leadership team.

Job Description:

  1. Strategic and Tactical Oversight
    1. Develop and implement a cohesive inbound marketing and sales strategy.
    2. Develop, maintain, and implement Quest’s Sales & Marketing Manual.
    3. Develop rolling sales forecasts and annual sales and marketing budgets.
    4. Assist Quest’s MD to identify and develop strategic partnerships.
    5. Maintain relationships and an effective presence in the business and NGO community; represent the firm at local and international business events.
  2. Marketing
    1. Develop and maintain a strong and consistent brand that accurately reflects Quest’s core identity, integrating membership with a top 20 international accounting network into branding. 
    2. Conduct market research; create and maintain “buyer persona” profiles of Quest’s ideal customers.
    3. Develop and refine a target customer list; actively work towards reaching at least 80% of the list.
    4. Create and share valuable, relevant content to attract and engage Quest’s target audience.
    5. Maintain an updated and professional-looking website and social media platforms.
    6. Manage Quest’s digital marketing strategy including social media, webinars, SEO, and analytics.
    7. Write and publish a regular newsletter; build and maintain an email distribution list.
  3. Sales
    1. Oversee and continuously refine/improve the implementation of Quest’s local staff in-person sales and marketing program.
    2. Work with the MD on account-based marketing approaches for high-value prospects.
    3. Swiftly respond to inquiries, conduct sales calls, and oversee an effective follow-up process.
    4. Define the “buyer’s journey” and appropriately engage with prospects at each stage in the journey.
    5. Maintain and maximize the usefulness of a CRM software.
    6. Monitor all RFQ/RFP websites and report all relevant opportunities to MD.
    7. Draft proposals and contracts using appropriate technology.  
  4. Personnel Management
    1. Hire and effectively train lower-level sales and marketing staff, continuously instilling and reinforcing Quest’s core values.
    2. Manage a team of 1-3 direct reports; continuously motivate, encourage, and support the team.
    3. Effectively delegate work and equip direct reports to succeed in their role.
    4. Plan for and monitor workload capacity of team.
    5. Provide continuous feedback to direct reports including quarterly performance reviews.
    6. Actively contribute to the professional and career growth of direct reports.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; sales and marketing certifications/training strongly preferred.
  2. 7-8+ years of relevant experience with a professional services firm.
  3. Strong working knowledge of and experience implementing inbound marketing strategies, including the creation and distribution of visually appealing and relevant content.
  4. Global mindset; understands the complexities of international business and can articulate the value of a global network to prospective customers.
  5. Humble, teachable, proactive, energetic.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  7. Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
  8. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  9. Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
  10. Excellent English and Dari required; Pashto preferred.
