Job Description:

The Engineers will be responsible for managing rehabilitations and construction of WASH activities in HCF centers, providing technical advice to subcontractors, supervising activities on site and ensuring that their packages are completed on time, in line with legal guidelines and within budget.

The engineers are required to work full time basis, to implement WASH hard components activities (constructing and repairing) in 8 existing health care centers of 3 district (Chaparhar, Khogiani and Door Baba Districts) in Nangarhar Province. They will also aim for achieving quality output, smooth implementation according the time frame, Design, Drawings and BOQ.

Responsibilities:

Implement planned activities according to the plane, design, drawings and BOQ on daily bases.

Site adapt Design of WASH hard components with considering of any changes in the designed activities (Design, as built Drawing, BOQ and etc…).

Monitor and Check Quantity and Quality of the construction activities with specified engineering standards.

Compare Field actual conducted and BOQ planned activities quantity for prevention.

Conduct field required tests according engineering standards.

Assist with vendor team for any clarification and implementation of the project activities at field level.

Repot to line supervisor regarding the project activities progress, issues and challenges bae on AWEC reporting policy.

Solve technical issues with considering field and planned activities.

 Ensure close and best coordination and cooperation with line supervisor, vendor, donor, local authorities and health care centers staff.

Providing project completion punch list, hand over documents and report.

Any other technical task if required and requested by the organization.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

A Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or water supply management.

A Minimum of 5 years’ experience in field engineering, designing and implementation of the water supply project/s.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of GPS, AutoCAD, water gem or Water cad technical software.

Knowledge of commuter usage MS office specially word and excel.

Knowledge of English language (Writing, Reading and speaking).

Ability to be present at field on daily base.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Problem solving good judgment.

Ability of working in remote area.
