About Première Urgence - Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI)

PU-AMI (known globally as Première Urgence Internationale, PUI) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-religious international aid organization. PU-AMI’s teams are committed to support vulnerable communities and populations, those marginalized, hit by conflict, natural disaster or economic downturns. PU-AMI’s main objective is to contribute to reduction in morbidity and mortality, and provide emergency relief to those in immediate need in order to help them regain their dignity.

Afghan mission is the oldest of PUI missions, with the first medical intervention launched in 1979 just after the Soviet troops crossed the country’s borders. PU-AMI teams currently deliver the integrated health care, combined with nutrition, psychosocial support; water, sanitation and hygiene (wash), as well as trauma services. The organization implements projects mainly in eastern parts of the country, and increasingly in the South-East Region. Since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, PU-AMI has also positioned itself as one of the main actors in preparedness and response to the pandemic, implementing health and wash-cantered activities at health facilities and community level in Kabul and beyond.

Globally, PUI provides assistance to around 6 million people in 23 countries and across 5 continents: Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Europe.

پی یو ای ام آی که در سطح جهان به نام پی یو آی شناخته میشود یک اداره غیردولتی، غیرانتفاعی، غیرسیاسی و غیر مذهبی مدد رسان بین ا لمللی میباشد.

تیم های  پی یو ای ام آی متعهد به حمایت  و کمک جوامع و جمعیت های آسیب پذیر به انهاییکه در اإثر منازعات- حوادث طبیعی و رکود اقتصادی منزوی شده اند میباشد.  هدف عمده پی یو ای ام آی کمک در کاهش مرگ و میر -کمک عاجل به اعاده و بازیابی حیثیت ووقار  انهاییکه در نیاز فوری قرار دارند میباشد.

 ماموریت افغانستان  قدیمی  ترین مآموریت پی یو آی بوده و  با اولین مداخله در بخش صحی در سال1979  فقط درست بعد از عبور نیروهای شوروی از مرز های کشور آغاز شد.

تیم های پی یو ای ام آی در حال حاضر مراقبت های صحی ادغام یافته همراه با تغذیه حمایت روانی اجتماعی-آب-نظافت و حفظ ا لصحه واش و خدمات  تردیدات یا تروما را ارایه میدارد.

 این اداره عمدتآ پروژه ها را در  بخش شرقی کشور و بطور فزاینده در مناطق جنوب شرقی کشور  از زمان شیوع  کرونا در  2020  تطبیق مینماید .

پی یو ای ام آی  همچنین منحیث بازیگر اصلی در آمادگی و پاسخ به بیماری همه گیر – اجرای فعالیت های صحی و واش در سطح مراکز صحی و جامعه در کابل و فراتر از آن موقعیت خود را تثبیت نموده است.

 در سطح جهان موسسه پی یو آی در 23 مملکت  جهان به  6 میلیون نفر  در 5 قاره افریقا- آسیا- شرق میانه- امریکای لاتین و اروپا کمک مینماید.

Responsibilities and particular assignmentsمسؤلیت ها و وظایف مشخص

General responsibilities:                        

We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process prescriptions and dispense medicines to the patients as well as orientation on medicines for the patient and attendance. S/He should able to manage a pharmacy stock and have knowledge about inventory management. S/He will also undertake other tasks under a line manager direction to provide excellent patient service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly and provide excellent and reliable Monthly Consumption Report.

As a pharmacy technician in Mobile Health Team (MHT), he must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in writing and reporting.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Stock and Inventory Management.

2. Clinical Dispensing.

3. EPI (Vaccination) Implementation.

4. Pharmacy and EPI Vaccination Reporting.

5. Accountability Activities.

Objective 1هدف اول : 

Activities/Main dutiesفعالیت ها/ وظایف عمده: 

Stock and Inventory Management:

• To ensure the stock is clean, well ordered and optimize the stock management according to standard 
• To control the pharmacy stock temperature and record it in record sheet
• To update stock card for any movement on a daily basis
• Receiving medicine and consumables from pharmacy stock packing list wise and storing in MHT stock accordingly.
• Labelling of medicine in Alphabetical or pharmacological group
• Implementing of First In, First Out (FIFO) & First Expired, First Out (FEFO) system in MHT stock
• Preparing required requests of medicine, medical consumables and medical equipment
• Informing pharmacy department about expiry of medical supplies 3 months in advance and ensure all the medicines are in-dates and recorded/reported any expired stocks, if any.
• To implement physical inventory on a monthly basis as well as any time required
• To implement the physical inventory SoP at MHT level
• To arrange and have a unique and compromised system within Stock Cards, Prescriptions, and Register book as well as matching the physical stock.
• To ensure that daily all medicine are dispensing to the patient are recorded in the tally sheet.
• To prepare Pharmacy Monthly Consumption Report and submit to the pharmacy department

Clinical/Dispensing

• Medicine distribution to clients/patients based on MHT authorized Medical Doctor’s prescriptions
• To ‘double checking’ on the prescription and medicines prepared before dispensing them to the patients.
• To analyzing the prescriptions to meet:

• Does the prescription fill completely in terms of standard prescription.
• Is it Afghanistan EML.
• Do the INN respecting and hand writing is readable.
• It is prescribed based on Afghanistan NSTG requirement.

• Ensuring patients are fully informed of medicine usage based on Doctor’s prescription
• Ensuring that the rational medicine use, by calculating % of antibiotics, poly pharmacy and adherence to NSTG.
• Ensure pharmacy stock management by on time/ regular update of tally sheet, stock cards, monthly report.
• To ensure the proper storage condition of pharmaceutical in MHT and stock.
• Preparing medicines by counting pills, labelling bottles and compounding medications (If required)
• To provide information related on the use of the medicine to the patients as well as medical staff
• Engaging with patients/clients to answer their questions and offer advices on medicines benefit and risks 
• Identifying and reporting Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) to pharmacy officer and the HF supervisor
• Any other tasks needed by direct supervisor and pharmacy department  

Qualification/ Requirements تحصیلات و شرایط لازمه

- Graduate from recognized pharmacy institute (14 pass), Pharm D degree is preferred  

- At least 2 years’ experience in the field of pharmacy management or clinical area

- Good oral and written communication skills,

- Planning, organizing, and Management skill is an advantage

- Able to work under pressure  

- Teamwork capacity 

- Pharmacy stock management skills

- Fluent in the national language of Pashto/Dari and good knowledge in English. 

- good knowledge of EML, LML, NSTG, and ANF
