PU-AMI (known globally as Première Urgence Internationale, PUI) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-religious international aid organization. PU-AMI’s teams are committed to support vulnerable communities and populations, those marginalized, hit by conflict, natural disaster or economic downturns. PU-AMI’s main objective is to contribute to reduction in morbidity and mortality, and provide emergency relief to those in immediate need in order to help them regain their dignity.
Afghan mission is the oldest of PUI missions, with the first medical intervention launched in 1979 just after the Soviet troops crossed the country’s borders. PU-AMI teams currently deliver the integrated health care, combined with nutrition, psychosocial support; water, sanitation and hygiene (wash), as well as trauma services. The organization implements projects mainly in eastern parts of the country, and increasingly in the South-East Region. Since the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, PU-AMI has also positioned itself as one of the main actors in preparedness and response to the pandemic, implementing health and wash-cantered activities at health facilities and community level in Kabul and beyond.
Globally, PUI provides assistance to around 6 million people in 23 countries and across 5 continents: Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Europe.

تیم های پی یو ای ام آی متعهد به حمایت و کمک جوامع و جمعیت های آسیب پذیر به انهاییکه در اإثر منازعات- حوادث طبیعی و رکود اقتصادی منزوی شده اند میباشد. هدف عمده پی یو ای ام آی کمک در کاهش مرگ و میر -کمک عاجل به اعاده و بازیابی حیثیت ووقار انهاییکه در نیاز فوری قرار دارند میباشد.
ماموریت افغانستان قدیمی ترین مآموریت پی یو آی بوده و با اولین مداخله در بخش صحی در سال1979 فقط درست بعد از عبور نیروهای شوروی از مرز های کشور آغاز شد.
تیم های پی یو ای ام آی در حال حاضر مراقبت های صحی ادغام یافته همراه با تغذیه حمایت روانی اجتماعی-آب-نظافت و حفظ ا لصحه واش و خدمات تردیدات یا تروما را ارایه میدارد.
این اداره عمدتآ پروژه ها را در بخش شرقی کشور و بطور فزاینده در مناطق جنوب شرقی کشور از زمان شیوع کرونا در 2020 تطبیق مینماید .
پی یو ای ام آی همچنین منحیث بازیگر اصلی در آمادگی و پاسخ به بیماری همه گیر – اجرای فعالیت های صحی و واش در سطح مراکز صحی و جامعه در کابل و فراتر از آن موقعیت خود را تثبیت نموده است.

Job Description:
Responsibilities and particular assignmentsمسؤلیت ها و وظایف مشخص
Objective 1هدف اول :
Activities/Main duties فعالیت ها/ وظایف عمده:
- She Conduct anthropometric measurements (weight, height, and age), MUAC, and check edema of all under-five children.
- She Classification of all under-five children in categories of well nourished, Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM), and Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).
- Coordination with the community elders, CHWs, and volunteers for the defaulter tracing and case detection.
- Proper follow-up of the absent cases to avoid being defaulted.
- Follow up of referral cases with related MHT.
- Follow up of detected cases in the next visit from the same site.
Objective 2: Hygiene and Nutrition Counseling
Activities/main duties
- She Conduct counseling for pregnant and lactating women and mothers of all under two years children on appropriate infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices in each site.
- Counselling and referring the SAM, MAM children, and acutely malnourished PLWs to the relevant sites
- Counseling the caregivers on the hygiene promotion practices as needed.
Objective 3: Providing health education on nutrition and health topics
Activities/main duties
- She will organize the health education sessions on a daily basis in the community
- She will prepare the health education plan, including more important topics of nutrition and other health topics, on a monthly basis
- She will provide health education at the community level based on the prepared HE plan
- She will ensure the availability of important IEC materials (flip charts, posters, leaflets, flipbook….)
- Taking part in the implementation of the IEC materials at the community level based on the MoPH guideline
- She will increase awareness of the community regarding health, nutrition, and WASH topics
- Provide health, nutrition, and hygiene education sessions in the community. Use existing IEC materials and provide better communication to the audience.
- Provide awareness on food preparation and perform cooking demonstrations in the community
- Conducting nutrition education sessions on hygiene promotion practices, balanced food, promotion of Iodized salt, prevention of anemia, benefits of breast feeding, IYCF practices (Early initiation of breast feeding, Exclusive breast feeding, complementary feeding, Continuation of breast feeding up to two years or beyond,.), maternal nutrition, breast milk substitute (BMS) code and using of safe water at community level
- Conducting education sessions at the community level on the causes of malnutrition, the importance of Growth monitoring and promotion, the prevention of malnutrition, and information about those HFs where treatment program of malnutrition is present
- Conducting health education sessions at the community level on important diseases such as ARI, Diarrhea, communicable diseases (TB, Malaria, HIV Aids, Hepatitis), Importance of different vaccines to children and women
- Raising awareness of the community and risk communication about COVID-19 and preventable measures, contact tracing, self-quarantine, wearing masks, hand washing, applying social distancing, and so on.
Objective 4: Reporting
Activities/main duties
- Registering and reporting all activities done at the community level, including the number of screening, counseling, and nutrition education sessions conducted.
- She is responsible for providing all his activity reports and information to his line supervisor.
- Reporting of referred cases.
- Keeping record of health, nutrition, and hygiene HE sessions
- Report challenges of best nutrition practices in the community to her line supervisor
Objective 5: Accountability
Activities/main duties
- Provide awareness raising on feedback and complaints mechanisms and channels available to every patient/beneficiary;
- Timely inform line managers on channels unavailability or damage at HFs level (IEC material, speakers, etc.);
- Adhere to PU-AMI organizational policies (incl. CoC, Child protection policy, anti-fraud and anti-corruption policy, PSEA policy) and report any policy violations, suspicions, or allegations through the whistle-blower mechanism

Mandatory qualifications/requirements:
- At Least Health Mid-Level Institute
- At least 1- 2 years of experience working with NGO, particularly in the nutrition field.
- Sensitive to public health issues.
- Priority will be given to those who have similar experience
- Willing to go too repeatedly to the field.
Languages
- Fluent in Dari/Pashto -oral and written skills
- Some English -oral and written skills
Computer
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
