Sofia High School was established in 1392 (2013) with the purpose of delivering quality and inclusive education for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The school is committed to providing a modern, structured, and values-based education system that responds to the educational needs of society.

Sofia High School is recruiting qualified teaching staff for a total of eleven (11) academic subjects, covering Grades 1 to 12. For each subject, the school intends to hire one male and one female teachers, resulting in a total of 22 teaching positions. This approach ensures gender balance and promotes an inclusive learning environment.

In addition to the teaching staff, the school will recruit two academic controllers—one male and one female—to support academic supervision and maintain quality standards.

The subjects for which teachers are required are:
Islamic Studies, English, Pashto, Dari, Mathematics, Science (Oxford Curriculum), Computer Studies, Social Studies (علوم اجتماعی), Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

Teachers at Sofia High School are responsible for delivering effective and high-quality education in accordance with the school curriculum for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The general duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Teach the assigned subject in line with the approved curriculum and lesson plans
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly lesson plans
• Create a safe, disciplined, and student-centered learning environment
• Assess students’ academic performance regularly and maintain accurate academic records and grades
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure discipline and positive conduct
• Participate actively in academic meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
• Coordinate and collaborate with school administration and fellow teachers
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding students’ academic progress and behavior
• Adhere to professional ethics, school policies, and educational standards
• Support and participate in extracurricular and school-based educational activities when required

Candidates applying for teaching positions at Sofia High School must meet the following qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject area or Grade 14 graduation from a recognized educational institution
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant teaching experience is preferred
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach according to modern teaching methodologies
• Good classroom management and student engagement skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Commitment to professional ethics, discipline, and school policies
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented educational environment
