HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right.
In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland.
HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus....... through a community system strengthening approach.

Job Description:
Scope of work: Providing quality health and nutrition services according to MoPH guidelines and standards in order to reduce morbidity and mortality. The MD is over all responsible for management of the mobile team and act as supervisor of the team with below responsibilities.
- Physical examination of the patients and history taking of the patients.
- Screening for Acute malnutrition of all sick children and record the measurement of identified SAM and MAM on treatment cards
- Proper Prescription of medicine, Ready to Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), Ready to Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) and other food.
- Briefing to beneficiaries on how to use the drugs, RUTF, RUSF,other food and when to return for follow up visit.
- Support the nutrition officer on the final decision to refer the complicated cases SAM/MAM or IMCI to the hospital
- Support the nutrition Officer on taking decision when to discharge the SAM/MAM cases from the program.
- Update drugs, RUTF, RUSF and other food consumptions reports/balance sheet
- Developing quarterly and monthly plan with close coordination with relevant provincial officer.
- Reviewing and Mapping of villages and communities have poor access to health and nutrition services.
- Ensuring that all team members are properly carrying out their job in the field.
- Proper communication with community elders prior to visiting the village for service delivery.
- Coordination with health shuras regarding determination of the fixed place for conducting mobile services.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment (medicine, therapeutic food, and non-medical supply) are available.
- Referral of complicated SAM cases to IPD-SAM and fulfilling of the support documents.
- Provision of OPD services
- Payment management of transportation cost to complicated SAM cases and ensure that cost paid to eligible persons based on MopH CVA guideline.
- Provision of all supportive documents for all planned activities.
- Participation in monthly coordination meetings.
- Talking about RCCE topic in sessions regarding COVID-19
- Properly consumption reporting of medicine, medical supply and nutrition commodities.
- Prevention of misuse of the nutrition commodities.
- Develop mobile team schedule and submitting to the line manager/NGO/PPHD.
- Collect accurate nutrition information using HMIS standard formats
- Responsible for aggregating monthly reports of related sections of service delivery point according to HMIS standard formats and submit monthly reports to line manager/NGO/PPHD
- Other tasks assigned by line manager or office.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from recognized medical faculty (within or outside the country) with certified diploma by MoEH.
- At least 2 years’ experience in BPHS/public health facilities;
- Other skills: Good administrative abilities, Good communication and counselling skills, proven knowledge of national
- Languages: Fluent in Pashto and wording knowledge in English
- Honest and kind personality
