Job Description:
The Vocational Training Skills Curricula Development Consultant / VT Expert will be responsible for developing a standardized national package of vocational training manuals for Child Protection programmes in Afghanistan. Under the supervision of ADWSO Management, with technical support from UNICEF Child Protection, the consultant will:

Review existing vocational training manuals, curricula, and guidelines used by Child Protection implementing partners and relevant national programmes.

Collect and analyze existing training modules developed by NSDP and other NGOs.

Conduct coordination and consultations with UNICEF Child Protection teams and implementing partners.

Identify best practices, gaps, and harmonization needs in current vocational training materials.

Translate market assessment findings into implementation-ready, community-based vocational training modules.

Develop standardized vocational training manuals for agreed vocational skills, including recommended duration, delivery modalities, and contextual adaptations.

Ensure integration of child safeguarding principles, gender equality, disability inclusion, life skills, and psychosocial well-being components.

Compile all manuals into one consolidated, standardized national vocational training package.

Finalize manuals based on feedback from UNICEF and partners and support validation processes.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced university degree in Child Protection, Social Sciences, Education, business or a related field
- Proven experience in competency-based or modular vocational training design suitable for non-formal or community-based settings.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum or manual development, preferably vocational or skills-based including experience in adapting or standardizing training modules based on labour market or market assessment findings.
- Strong knowledge of UNICEF Child Protection policies and CP Minimum Standards
- Extensive expertise in vocational training programs and a strong understanding of market trends and value propositions within the vocational sector.Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, and UN agencies in humanitarian or development contexts
- Excellent coordination, facilitation, and report-writing skills
- Fluency in English knowledge of Dari, Pashto and/or other language is an asset
