Afghanistan Development and Welfare Services Organization (ADWSO) is a national non-governmental organization established in 2008 and operating across Afghanistan. ADWSO works to improve the livelihoods and well-being of vulnerable communities through interventions in livelihood support, agriculture, vocational training, child protection, capacity building, and women’s empowerment.
Job Description:
- Conduct agricultural value chain and market assessments for targeted crops
- Identify high-value crops and viable market opportunities at local, regional, and national levels
- Support design and facilitation of market linkage interventions and contract farming models
- Advise on pricing, cost-benefit analysis, and farmer profitability
- Support formation of farmer groups/clusters for collective marketing
- Facilitate linkages with off-takers, agro-processors, and financial institutions
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on economic outcomes
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Economics
- Minimum 4 years of experience in value chain development and/or market linkages
- Strong analytical and market assessment skills
- Experience with farmer aggregation and agribusiness models
- Ability to translate economic analysis into practical recommendations
