Established in 1934, the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) is an independent, humanitarian institution which has been recognized by the government of Afghanistan as an auxiliary to State agencies. ARCS play an important role in delivering disaster response services. Under the 2016 Red Crescent Law, ARCS carry out its activities in accordance with the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary services, unity and universality. Among others, ARCS have the duty to provide assistance to disaster-affected communities, supply emergency shelter, and distribute relief items to vulnerable people. Through its network of 7 regional branches and 34 provincial branches and more than 20,000 staff and trained volunteers, ARCS is amongst the few national organizations with nation-wide outreach and access. Over the past decades, ARCS has managed to uphold its neutrality and enjoys acceptance enabling its teams to carry out principled humanitarian action across the lines of conflict, including in the large portions of the territories controlled by armed opposition groups. With the support of its Red Cross Red Crescent Movement partners – the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Partners National Societies like the Norwegian Red Cross – ARCS has also strengthened its management systems, procedures and partnerships to respond to emergencies, upon request of the public authorities or under its own initiative

• The responsible will assist project team in organizing, designing, and conducting of trainings.
• Work closely with project community mobilizers, and officers to identify the training locations, participants, and needs.
• Assist the project officers in the development of training work plans, procurement of training stationeries and materials (training manuals and handouts).
• Deliver high quality training workshops to the beneficiaries (emergency committee & schools safety members) where the project targeted beneficiaries learning, and development requirement addressed effectively and efficiently.
• Assist the ARCS & IFRC staff in the process of project training data collections and data management.
• Undertake regular supervision visits and assess the impact of trainings on the learning and development of project beneficiaries.
• Identify training gaps/needs, and or areas of improvements - document best practices and lessons learnt. 
• Preparing comprehensive training report in coordination with project officers.
• vocational trainings at field level.
• Work closely with project team to conduct livelihood assessment of target households (HH)s and identify sustainable income generation options.
• Support target HHs to develop their business plans for income generation activities.
• Supervision of provision of productive assets and inputs to the target HHs at the field level.
• Conduct regularly visits and provision of required instructions to target HHs on utilization of productive assets and inputs.
• Facilitate market linkage and value chain activities of target households.
• Any other task given by line manager.

• Good communication skills.
• Problem solving, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Representation skills.
• Computer literate.
• Speaking Proficiency in Dari, Pashto & English will asset during the interview.
• 2 years of experience in the relevant field of Livelihoods.
