1. Mechanical Engineer (MEP – HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection)

Role Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for buildings and urban developments. The role includes design development, equipment selection, energy performance analysis, BIM coordination, tender documentation, and on-site verification, ensuring systems meet performance, safety, and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•   Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems (concept to IFC)

•   Prepare calculations, equipment schedules, specifications, and BOQs

•   Support energy modelling and system optimization

•   Coordinate with architectural/structural/electrical disciplines (BIM/Revit workflows)

•   Develop tender packages and respond to technical queries during procurement

•   Conduct site inspections, verify installations, and support commissioning readiness

2. Architect (Urban / Mixed-Use / Heritage)

Role Summary

Join GCE as an Architect to contribute to urban planning, mixed-use developments, and heritage renovation projects. You will support conceptual design, master planning, client presentations, 3D visualization, interior schemes, and coordination for approvals—integrating sustainable design practices throughout.

Key Responsibilities

•   Concept design, schematic design, and master planning support

•   Produce design packages, drawings, and presentation materials

•   3D modelling, visualization, and client-facing presentations

•   Coordinate with engineering disciplines and support permitting/approvals

•   Contribute to sustainable and context-sensitive design solutions

3. Electrical Engineer (LV/MV)

Role Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with proven experience in LV/MV system design and site oversight across commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include load calculations, single line diagrams, specifications, discipline coordination, site supervision, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

•   Prepare LV/MV designs, load schedules, calculations, and specifications

•   Develop drawings and tender documentation (SLD, layouts, schematics)

•   Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines

•   Site supervision, installation verification, and technical reporting

•   Ensure compliance with standards such as IEC/NEC and relevant local codes
•   Support sustainable energy solutions where applicable

4. Structural Engineer – Senior

Role Summary

GCE is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures for high-rise buildings, bridges, and major facilities in Afghanistan. This role includes team leadership, seismic assessment, coordination with other disciplines, and oversight support during construction.

Key Responsibilities

•   Lead structural analysis and design (concept to IFC) for concrete/steel structures

•   Perform seismic assessments and ensure compliance with applicable seismic standards

•   Review and approve calculations, models, drawings, and detailing outputs

•   Coordinate with architects/MEP teams to resolve design interfaces

•   Support tender packages, technical responses, and site engineering needs

•   Mentor junior engineers and support internal technical development

5. Structural Engineer – Junior

Role Summary

GCE is hiring a Junior Structural Engineer to support structural analysis, modeling, detailing coordination, and site documentation under senior supervision for projects in Afghanistan.

Key Responsibilities

•   Assist in structural analysis and design for concrete/steel structures

•   Prepare and update design calculations, models, and drawings coordination

•   Support detailing reviews and ensure alignment with design intent

•   Assist with construction-phase technical support and site reporting

•   Participate in multidisciplinary coordination and document control

1. Mechanical Engineer (MEP – HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection) 

•   Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

•   Minimum 5 years in MEP design for buildings

•   Proficiency in Revit MEP and tools such as HAP, Elite Fire (or similar)

•   Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards and applicable local regulations

•   Strong reporting and documentation skills 

•   MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) required

2. Architect (Urban / Mixed-Use / Heritage)
         •   Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture

•   5+ years of experience in design firms

•   Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse project experience (required)

•   Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and visualization tools such as 3ds Max/Rhino/Lumion/V-Ray (as applicable)

•   Understanding of Afghan urban codes and international norms/standards

•   MS Office required

•   Adobe Suite required (at minimum Photoshop; plus InDesign/Illustrator preferred)

3. Electrical Engineer (LV/MV)

•   Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

•   5+ years in LV/MV design and implementation (construction/EPC preferred)

•   Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux (or similar tools)

•   Familiarity with Afghan building codes and international standards

•   Strong communication and coordination skills

•   MS Office required

4. Structural Engineer – Senior

•   Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)

•   8+ years of experience in structural design

•   Strong expertise in ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro (or equivalent)

•   Seismic design experience is critical (Afghanistan context)

•   PE/license preferred (where applicable)

•   Strong documentation and reporting ability

•   MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) required

5. Structural Engineer – Junior

•   Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

•   3+ years of experience (strong internship/project work considered)

•   Proficiency in structural software (ETABS/SAP2000/STAAD.Pro or similar)

•   Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

•   MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) required
