HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right.

In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters.  HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland.

HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus....... through a community system strengthening approach.

HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel.

• Eye OT data entry in the relevant databases on regular base
• Provision of monthly reports on the eye care ward and OT
• Ensure data consistency and accuracy in the eye ward
• Data visualization of the project and updating on monthly basis
• Timely appraisal of any data entry problems (e.g. missing data / forms) and liaison with the HMIS team to resolve them
• Tracking of the project activities and indicators target to ensure that achievements are on track
• Root cause analysis with the eye ward staff and finding solutions for the backlogs
• Check the registers and data collection tools for proper completion and maintaining
• Filing and appropriate storage of all data hard copy forms so that they may be examined at any time
• Proper filling and documentation of the eye ward
• Provision of pharmaceutical purchasing requests for the eye ward based on available balance and needs in coordination with the ophthalmologists and pharmacy team  
• Provision of pharmacy consumption monthly report in coordination with team
• Regular back-up saving of the databases
• CSOM reporting
• Minimum standards tracking and reporting
• Maintain good working relations with the rest of the project team.
• Provide regular feedback to the team for improving the data quality
• Maintain data integrity
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Extract and tabulate data as per needs for management team
• Photography from the project activities and provision of success stories on a regular basis
• Provide support to the project monitors and evaluators during the project monitoring and evaluation
• Provision of corrective action plan in coordination with hospital staff for all findings and follow-up of the plan
• Provision of support to other project activities outside of the hospital (outreach camp, primary health care HFs training and supply)
• Assist eye ward staff and hospital HMIS in their relevant duties  
• Any other task assigned by line manager

• Graduate from a recognized eye technician faculty with experience in eye health care and HMIS/data management.  
• Have Minimum 2-year experience in eye health care data entry/HMIS  
• Computer skills (ability to work with Word and Excel, and Power Point)
• Fluency in Pashto / Dari with adequate knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Punctual, accurate and honest
