About Afghan Post State Own Corporation:
Postal services in Afghanistan have a history of more than a century. These services were first laid in 1870 for the first time during the reign of Amir Shir Ali Khan, which witnessed significant ups and downs due to changes in the political, social and cultural spheres. Job Description:
Job Purpose
Provide centralized IT, hardware, and system-level support for the GPS Locker Project, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient operation of all IT systems across headquarters, control rooms, and border sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical focal point for GPS Locker site operators and Control Room IT Technicians, coordinating closely with network, system, and platform engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues originating from control rooms and border sites.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and system issues related to GPS lockers, video walls, and associated IT infrastructure.
- Provide technical training and guidance to site operators on GPS locker hardware and to Control Room IT Technicians on video wall operation and IT troubleshooting procedures.
- Respond to daily technical support requests via Email, phone, remote access, and on-site visits, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Provide remote and on-site support to control rooms and border sites to maintain uninterrupted GPS Locker operations.
- Troubleshoot and maintain IT-related equipment including printers, scanners, IP phones, switches, GPS lockers, video walls, and related peripherals.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential technical risks affecting project operations.
- Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Operations Manager in support of project objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in IT hardware, system support, or technical operations.
- Strong knowledge of networking, servers, operating systems, and IT security principles.
- Experience supporting mission-critical or 24/7 operational systems is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in operational environments.
- CCNA and MCSA (or equivalent) online certifications are required.
- Fluency in Dari, Pashto, and English.
