Job Description:

Job Purpose

The Control Room IT Officer is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of all IT and monitoring systems within the Control Room. This includes video walls, monitoring dashboards, workstations, and communication systems, ensuring continuous visibility, system availability, and support for GPS Locker operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and manage video wall systems and display controllers.
  • Ensure real-time visualization of GPS locker status, vehicle movements, alerts, and system dashboards.
  • Maintain uninterrupted operation of Control Room IT infrastructure, including workstations, networking equipment, and communication systems.
  • Monitor system dashboards, logs, alerts, and performance indicators.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues within the Control Room.
  • Coordinate with Project IT Support specialist and HQ IT team for escalated technical issues.
  • Support incident monitoring, documentation, evidence capture, and system screenshots as required.
  • Support shift-based and 24/7 operations, when required.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and IT security policies.
  • Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and system health monitoring.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by direct supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Control Room, or monitoring environment.
  • Hands-on experience with video wall systems and monitoring dashboards is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and IT troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in rotating shifts and under operational pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills
