The Regional Manager is responsible for the overall business performance of the assigned region, including sales growth, financial control, government coordination, regulatory compliance, market expansion, and team leadership. The role ensures sustainable profitability, ethical operations, and strong relationships with government and private stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales, Marketing & Business Growth
• Develop and execute regional business and sales plans aligned with company strategy
• Achieve regional sales targets, market share growth, and product penetration
• Identify new business opportunities, institutional sales, and tenders
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market dynamics
• Ensure optimal product availability and distribution coverage
2. Financial Management & Control
• Prepare and manage the regional sales budget and expense plans
• Monitor regional profitability, sales margins, and cost efficiency
• Control promotional, operational, and travel expenses within approved budgets
• Coordinate with the Finance Department on:
• Credit management and customer receivables (A/R)
• Payment follow-up and outstanding recovery
• Financial forecasting and sales projections
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company financial policies
3. Team Leadership & Human Resource Management
• Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales and supervisory staff
• Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance evaluations
• Set clear KPIs, targets, and accountability frameworks
• Handle disciplinary issues in coordination with HR
• Build a strong, ethical, performance-driven, and compliant team culture
4. Government Relations & Institutional Affairs
• Maintain strong professional relationships with:
• Ministry of Public Health (MoPH)
• Directorate of Pharmaceutical Affairs / Food & Drug Authorities
• Public hospitals, government institutions, and NGOs
• Coordinate government inspections, audits, and official communications
• Support regulatory submissions, product registrations, renewals, and inspections
• Represent the company in official meetings, seminars, and government events
• Ensure regional compliance with national health, pharmaceutical, and trade regulations
5. Regulatory Compliance, Quality & Ethics
• Ensure compliance with:
• GMP, GDP, and company SOPs
• MoPH regulations and pharmaceutical laws
• Support QA and Regulatory Affairs teams during inspections and audits
• Ensure ethical promotion and responsible marketing practices
• Immediately report and manage compliance risks or violations
6. Operations & Supply Chain Coordination
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Production for demand planning and stock availability
• Prevent stock-outs, expiries, and overstock situations
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and distribution practices
• Support launch and scale-up of new products in the region
7. Reporting, Analysis & Strategic Planning
• Submit accurate and timely reports:
• Sales performance
• Financial summaries
• Market intelligence
• Government and regulatory updates
• Analyze data to support strategic decision-making
• Provide recommendations for pricing, promotions, and expansion
Job Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree will be preferred.
5 years of experience in manageral level.
Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
