Way of Afghan Help Organization (WAHO) is a non-governmental organization established in January 2019. WAHO is registered as a non-governmental development organization with the ministry of economy of Afghanistan under NGO’s law with registration number of 4824 dated 9th October 2019 and have the right to operate all over Afghanistan. WAHO aims to implement and promote rights-based development for a strong, viable, and pluralistic society in Afghanistan.

Purpose of the Position:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of greenhouse projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, budget compliance, and achievement of project objectives.

1. Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Implementation

• Develop detailed project work plans, timelines, and budgets
• Oversee greenhouse site preparation, construction, and installation
• Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment
• Ensure activities meet technical and donor standards

Technical Supervision

• Supervise greenhouse design, irrigation systems, and crop production
• Provide technical guidance to field staff and farmers
• Ensure best agricultural and climate-smart practices

Team Management

• Supervise field officers, engineers, and support staff
• Conduct regular meetings and performance evaluations
• Build staff capacity through training and mentoring

Monitoring & Reporting

• Track project progress against indicators
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and donor reports
• Document lessons learned and success stories

Project Manager

 Academic Qualifications:

•   Bachelor’s in Agriculture or Horticulture with Livelihood Project

Management for rural and poor communities.

 Professional experience:

•    A minimum of three years of project management experience in livelihoods, infrastructure, and other related development and agriculture interventions

in Afghanistan.

•    Familiarity with the local socio-political context of the project focus on income generation activities in Afghanistan.

•   Prior experience in implementing projects funded by UNDP or other UN

agencies.

 Language  :

•   Fluency in Pashto and Dari is required.

•   Working in oral and written English is required.
