SCAWNO Background
Support Children and Afghan Women Needs Organization (SCAWNO) is a non-profit NGO registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, registration number 1174 in 2008. Established by a group of dedicated and qualified Afghan professionals, SCAWNO aims to promote community development, good governance, democracy building, and capacity building. The organization was founded by members of Local Youth Councils, with a mission to contribute positively to the development process of communities in Afghanistan through capacity building, women's rights awareness, gender-based violence, children's protection awareness, legal consultation, economic sustainability, income generation projects, literacy, vocational training, health education, and teacher training. SCAWNO's vision is to create a peaceful, free, and developed Afghanistan based on good Afghan cultural values, where the population lives in peace, with self-dignity and self-sufficiency, and where people manage their own personal development and the development of the society in which they live.
Job Description:
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement M&E frameworks and data collection methodologies specific to project requirements.
- Oversee data collection, management, and quality assurance processes, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and verify data accuracy.
- Analyze and summarize findings to support project reporting and evaluations.
- Maintain a comprehensive list and schedule of funding reports, including detailed requirements for each donor/grant.
Capacity Building:
- Train field staff and local partners on data management, analysis, and results-oriented programming.
- Provide guidance on basic surveying, sampling techniques, and report writing.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Assist with the documentation and reporting of assessments, program data, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Ensure continuity in program and operational reporting templates that facilitate information aggregation.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate M&E reports to stakeholders.
Coordination:
- Coordinate with relevant departments to track routine activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Facilitate and manage field visits by donors and partners.
Additional Duties:
- Ensure the implementation of project activities by mobile teams and plan activities in a timely manner.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the line supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, BBA, BA or a related field A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience, preferably with NGOs, UN agencies, or similar organizations operating in Afghanistan.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to travel to remote areas and districts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Languages: Fluency in English and Local Language(s).
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
