About Your Voice Organization (YVO):
Your Voice Organization (YVO) emerged as part of the Japan International Volunteer Center’s (JVC) commitment to localization. Established in 1980, JVC initiated its humanitarian work in Afghanistan in 2001, with a primary focus on emergency aid, including WASH, healthcare, education, peacebuilding, and policy advocacy. As JVC dedicated itself to strengthening Afghan local staff's management capacities and facilitating their transition to sustainability, YVO was founded as a distinct entity. In March 2019, YVO officially emerged as a non-profit, non-political, and non- governmental organization registered under the NGO laws of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, with registration number 4679. YVO inherits the invaluable spirits, assets, knowledge, and experiences from JVC and remains steadfast in its mission to make a positive impact on Afghan communities through various programs and initiatives in sectors such as FSL, Education, ESNFI, Protection, Peacebuilding, and Policy Advocacy. YVO places a strong emphasis on local capacity development to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of its initiatives in Afghanistan.
Job Description:
The M&E assistant will be working under the direct supervision of M&E manager to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of all project activities outlined as:
- Track progress against monitoring work plans;
- Coordinate the field level community participatory monitoring and evaluation reflective practice and impact measurement;
- Ensues the on time execution of projects major monitoring and evaluation events including but not limited to baseline survey mid-term evaluation final evaluation data quality audit and field supervision;
- Provide technical assistance to staff on information management system proper data collection and record keeping;
- Provide consistent support to strengthen performance as necessary to meet monitoring objectives;
- Assist in updating M&E plan and provide feedback to program staff on status and quality of implementation.
- Assist in monthly and/or quarterly performance indicator analysis including generation of reports as well as presentations for staff related to on-going performance;
- Conduct regular data entry and verification exercises to ensure reporting and collection of quality data;
- Verify entered data for completeness correctness and consistency and follow up on any data quality issues;
- Document findings from data quality audits and store in project files to ensure collective and sustainable access;
- Closely work with program staff to ensure they follow correct procedures and criteria during beneficiary registration;
- Provide M&E inputs for reports written during project implementation.
- Establish and maintain project information management system. Ensure adherence to YVO policies, guidance and procedures, including YVO’s standards, procedures, and guidelines for project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with YVO child protection guidelines and safeguarding standards including confidentiality, respect and safety in the project implementation.
- Perform other task related assignments proposed by his/her supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Social Science, statistics, agriculture or any sector or sub-sector related field;
- At least 2 years progressive job experience in M&E role.
- Excellent computer skills are required (particularly Microsoft Excel and Word);
- Experience in Kobo Toolbox and Advance Excel is must.
- Strong data collection analysis and report writing skills required.
- Ability to work independently, think analytically and take initiative in solving problems;
- Ability to communicate technical issues effectively;
- Familiarity with log frame analysis and M&E plan.
- Experience in conducting assessment;
- Good verbal communication skills in local languages and working knowledge of English;
