About ADWSO:

Afghanistan Development and Welfare Services Organization (ADWSO), an Afghan Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operates in Afghanistan since 2008.  ADWSO’s priority sector areas are Women Empowerment, Livelihood Support, Vocational Training, Child Protection, Capacity Building and Rule of Law.

ADWSO plans to submit a proposal to UN Women for an upcoming project focused on strengthening the capacity of Women-Owned Businesses (WOBs) in market opportunities and access to finance.

As part of the proposal preparation process, ADWSO is collecting CVs of qualified professionals to be considered for the position of Entrepreneurship Expertsubject to project award and donor approval. This announcement does not constitute a job offer.

Job Description:

Position Summary

The Entrepreneurship Expert will support the project by delivering entrepreneurship-focused training and coaching to women entrepreneurs. The role will contribute to enhancing business skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and growth strategies of Women-Owned Businesses.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver entrepreneurship and business development trainings for women-owned businesses
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to micro and small enterprises
  • Support women entrepreneurs in business formalization, planning, and growth strategies
  • Contribute to the design and adaptation of entrepreneurship training materials
  • Coordinate closely with the Team Leader and other technical experts
  • Ensure gender-responsive, participatory, and context-appropriate training delivery
  • Contribute to activity documentation, success stories, and reporting as required

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in entrepreneurship or business management OR
    master’s degree in business or management with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • At least two (2) similar assignments in entrepreneurship training and coaching for micro, small, or medium enterprises
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering entrepreneurship-related training or coaching
  • Experience working with women entrepreneurs is highly desirable
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills
  • Fluency in Dari is required; English proficiency is an asset
