Job Description:
The nurse at Shefajo hospital is responsible for providing nursing care, and pharmacy assistance to patients, including maternal, newborn, and child health services. The Nurse works under the supervision of the Medical Doctor and in collaboration with midwives, MHPSS counselors, community health supervisor (CHS), CHWs, and other staff to ensure quality, accountability, and adherence to BPHS standards, nutrition protocols, and child protection principles.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications and Criteria:
- Graduation from a recognized Nursing Institute (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree)
- Valid nursing license issued by the relevant authority
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience
(Experience in NICU or Emergency will be considered an advantage) - Good knowledge of neonatal and emergency nursing care
- Ability to work in shifts (day and night)
- Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and professional ethics
- Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates and emergency patients
- Implement physicians’ orders accurately and timely
- Monitor vital signs and maintain proper medical documentation
- Assist in emergency and critical situations
- Collaborate effectively with doctors and other healthcare staff
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and ethical standards
